The Wisconsin Forestry Science Center is a new, independent 501(c)(3) organization slated to occupy a 60,000 sf facility on a 68 acre forested site. The Center will offer interactive exhibits and forest walks to educate the public about Wisconsin’s forests and the social, ecological, and economic aspects of sustainable forestry and forest products. The Forestry Science Center will become a primary resource for local students, families and Milwaukee community members, as well as an attraction for tourists and Wisconsin residents.

MGA, working with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, prepared a feasibility study of the site and future facilities, which included concept, identity and branding, site and facilities planning and analysis, as well as development of the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws and the 501(c)(3) submittals to the IRS. Our work also included the formation and orientation of the initial board and working with the board to develop the new organization’s mission, vision, goals, and strategic plan.
