Site acquisition, site lease and development agreement, building programming, exhibit planning
M. Goodwin Associates was retained by the Tech Museum of Innovation for several projects related to the development of the museum. MGA’s work was divided into two major phases. Part one involved full-time work: programming, site acquisition, lease and development agreement negotiation, business plan and exhibit planning. In particular, MGA played a critical role as the liaison between the museum and the city attorneys in developing and coordinating the lease with the City of San Jose’s Redevelopment Agency. We also created the preliminary program case statement for the museum’s capital campaign. Part two involved M. Goodwin Associates specifically in the final programming of the building and the exhibit coordination plan. We developed a revised building program in conjunction with the museum’s exhibit designers, exhibit developers and project managers.
