Because the museum was faced with an important strategic real estate decision, the Seattle Art Museum retained M. Goodwin Associates and Randall Stout Architects to assist them in planning for long-term expansion and the appropriate disposition of their downtown real estate holdings, including the museum. M. Goodwin Associates produced a comprehensive business plan and a site plan showing (for 6 to 8 options) potential rental incomes; potential production costs; short, meduim, and long-term expansion needs; preferred adjancencies and project phasing. The project was highly confidential, with extensive interviews with staff and Board members and three all-day workshops with leading Board members. |
