M. Goodwin Associates’ full-time involvement on this project began with the production of the newly formed museum’s long-range strategic and administrative plan, followed by the coordination of the site selection and acquisition and architect selection process. In 1982, MGA wrote the facility building program and then supervised its implementation as the project’s design coordinator and construction project coordinator. Other work consisted of managing the interiors program for the museum, as well as the final build-out, punch list and installation. This project required working extensively with the architects, Arata Isozaki and Gruen Associates, and with the contractor, HCB Contractors.
